While the original design suffered from an annoying volume drop, ORCHID brings the circuit up to unity gain. It might be named after a flower, but ORCHID is a beast. This is a modern recreation of the celebrated Shin-ei FY-2 Companion Fuzz circuit. It delivers a sneering, buzzy, mid-scooped tone with a subtle, underlying octave-up texture. It is angry, aggressive, and uncompromising.
